What is Dirt Detective?
Dirt Detective creates a cleaning plan based on how often each room is cleaned and how frequently dirt is detected in each room. The current state of clean will be visualized in the iRobot Home App. Selecting Dirt Detective to start cleaning will enable your robot to automatically prioritize the dirtiest rooms and use the most optimal cleaning settings for each. The Roomba Combo® j9+ takes on the tasks you'd rather not - planning, remembering and prioritizing rooms to clean, and how to get the best clean for each one. All thanks to Dirt Detective, powered by iRobot OS.
What is the benefit of having the Clean Base® Auto-Fill™ Dock?
The Clean Base® Auto-Fill™ Dock does what your Roomba Combo® j9+ robot needs to get the job done. Handles 60 days of dirt disposal and 30 days of liquid replenishment to keep you hands-free for longer. The Roomba Combo® j9+ robot goes to the Clean Base® Auto-Fill™ Dock to replenish liquid then heads right where it left off to finish mopping. Accessory storage and useable surface are integrated into this premium dock design that fits right in your home.
Are there different cleaning modes?
Yes, you can customize your clean in two different modes: Roomba Combo® j9+ robot can either vacuum and mop at the same time, or only vacuum whenever you like. It also senses if the mop pad is not attached and will vacuum only. With SmartScrub, your Roomba Combo® j9+ robot imitates real mopping, passing back-and-forth with consistent downward pressure to eradicate messes. With D.R.I. (Dry Rug Intelligence) your rugs and carpets stay dry—because Roomba Combo® j9+ robot vacuum and mop Auto-Retract Mopping System lifts the mop head to the top of the robot, completely away from carpet.
Is it kid friendly?
Prevent accidental starts on your Roomba Combo® j9+ robot vacuum and mop with Child & Pet Lock. Enable or disable Child & Pet Lock in the iRobot Home App to disable your robot’s Clean button so it will stay docked, or continue cleaning, even if the button is accidentally pressed. Children should be supervised when your robot is operating.
