These benefits apply to full-time employees or part-time employees working 24 or more hours per week except as noted.  Eligibility begins your first day of employment.

Medical Plan
Administered by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of New England  (BCBS), options are:
  • HMO (for New England residents ONLY),
  • PPO Plan  
  • Consumer Driven Health Plan with a Health Savings Account (HSA) associated with the plan.
Dental Plan
Dental Blue with Blue Cross/ Blue Shield – standard dental coverage  includes orthodontic coverage.

Vision Plan
Vision Service Plan (VSP) offers annual routine eye exam eye wear allowances

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
Health Care Flexible Spending Account – save up to $2,500 on a pre-tax basis with up to $500 rollover to following year
Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account – save up to $5,000 on a pre-tax basis
Limited Scope Flexible Spending Account offered to participants enrolled in the HSA plan.

Basic Life and AD&D Insurance
iRobot provides 2 times your annual salary in term life insurance at no cost to you; minimum of $50,000 to a maximum of $400,000.

Supplemental Life Insurance
Elect Optional life insurance coverage for yourself, children, and spouse/domestic partnerin $10,000 increments; subject to minimum/maximum amount and is employee paid.

401(k) Plan
Robust plan offering traditional (pre-tax) and Roth (post-tax) options. Company match is discretionary and is made annually in the first quarter following the calendar year. Automatic Enrollment of 6% deferral if no election is made within 30 days of hire.

Short Term Disability

Employer paid and eligibility for the first 90 days of disability

Long Term Disability

Employer paid and eligibility after 90 days of any one period of disability; subject to a maximum amount

Eligible employees begin accruing upon hire. In the first year of employment the accrual rate is 15 days of vacation prorated based on hire date. For each year thereafter on January 1st an additional vacation day will be added to the accrual up to the 10th year of employment until maximum accrual of 25 days per year is reached.

Sick Time
Sick time may be taken for the illness of the employee or any dependent. It can also be used for medical appointments. Eligible employees accrue per pay period and earn up to10 days per year. Sick time is not eligible for carry over to the following year.

Eleven paid holidays – includes eight designated holidays and three floating holidays. In the first calendar year of employment employees are entitled to a proportional number of floating holidays based on date of hire.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The program offers confidential, short-term counseling, resources, consultation and referrals for your work life balance issues.  

Tuition Assistance
Tuition Assistance available upon completion of three months of service for job-related courses  and progress toward a degree in a relevant field.

Smoking Cessation Reimbursement

Reimbursement for smoking cessation related costs; subject to a maximum amount
