iRobot believes that a robot isn’t a robot if it doesn’t interact with and respond to its environment. IT, the first emotionally responsive robot built by iRobot, was featured on the cover of National Geographic magazine. The robot could detect camera flashes and loved to have its picture taken, but IT didn’t like being crowded and would complain if people came too close.
