Robots working together can do amazing things. Funded by DARPA, the central research and development organization for the Department of Defense, SWARM robots allow one user to control many robots. The user gives commands to just one robot that shares them with all of the other robots in the SWARM. Each robot carries out its individual mission autonomously, communicating with fellow swarm members as needed to accomplish the collective goal, such as room mapping, object location and other coordinated tasks.
